...Baking...babies...birthdays...

Last week began with a baking party with the girls. We had so much fun...gathered in Casey and Roy'l's kitchen. Cameo, Michelle, Sarah and Roy'l and I each chose one or two recipes to prepare. Everything was going great...until the oven wouldn't work. When Michelle and I pulled the range out from the wall, we discovered the plug was barely in the socket. Apparently while preparing a batch of fudge on the stove, the stove was pushed back toward the wall a bit which...somehow...made the plug work out of the socket. After pushing it back in, we were in business again!
As usual, I forgot to take pictures until after Cameo left for the evening...darn!

I watch KaeLynn every Tuesday. I was able to catch some of the many cute faces of KaeLynn.

Watching KaeLynn and Javen every Wednesday is truly an adventure! I let them watch Sesame Street and Clifford the Big Red Dog, then we play, read, snack, read, play, and on a good day, I might even get them both down for a nap for 15 or 20 minutes at the same time! (Those are the days I spend that 15 or 20 minutes doing a "Happy Dance"!) Unfortunately, I forgot to get pictures with Javen and KaeLynn this past week because things were a bit crazy around here! Javen refused to sleep, and KaeLynn slept a lot!...and both mommies had to work longer hours so it was just the three of us trying to outsmart each other!

Eddie celebrated his 3rd birthday on the 8th, and I celebrated my...(well...never mind)...on the 8th also. Eddie planned the whole party. He asked for Macaroni and Cheese,(thankfully homemade and not boxed) and Cars cakes for both of us...his was the red car...mine was the blue one. Every body had a good time!

My next post will be Christmas and Mikel, Brooke and Adam's visit! All of my kids will be here together the week after Christmas! I can't wait!!!

Thanksgiving...and everything that follows!

This year, all our kids were with the In-laws, so Mikel and I had a very peaceful, quiet day by ourselves...in our jammies...working on Christmas projects, watching Christmas movies and enjoying being together. We cooked a turkey, with some of the trimmings, and had a delightful day! The Sunday after Thanksgiving, all our kids were here...minus the Utah family. We had a wonderful time eating Hawaiian Haystacks and pumpkin pie...with whipped cream, of course! The grandkids have learned from their parents what to do with those whipped cream cans!

After dinner, the girls and I made some wreaths with fresh greenery while the kids played and the guys played some board games and/or watched football. (Sorry Sarah...I forgot to get your picture!)

Last night, Michelle and Kyle went to Kyle's company Christmas dinner so we had their boys, Eddie and Gordon. (Celeste was with her other grandma.) We also had Leann for the night. Eddie and Leann are the same age, and the best of friends! They spent some of the time watching Snow White and then playing together. They are so cute!!! If you notice that they are dressed almost alike...it wasn't planned. They both showed up at our house wearing those clothes!..red shirt...blue pants with red strips.

This morning was our ward Breakfast with Santa. Leann had a melt down and was taken home before she saw Santa. Javen wasn't impressed...neither was Eddie or KaeLynn...
Sorry Santa. Nothing personal, I'm sure! Celeste didn't have a problem!

This afternoon, we took KaeLynn with us and went to the craft sale at the Expo center. We had so much fun! KaeLynn got a bit restless in the stroller, so during one of the phone calls from Cavan, he suggested that I let her push the stroller. She walked ...and walked ...and walked ...and walked! (I think she will sleep well tonight!)

And last...but not least...Papa took KaeLynn for a ride on the Carousel. I'll just say....she wasn't impressed!...She was happy for about 2 seconds after it started...then cried till it stopped.

Just like our Blog title....a little bit of the "Dover Family doodles"!
