Where Did Summer Go? Catching up with it...

What happened? It's gone....just plain gone! We only got a few weeks of summer, and now it's fall. I'm not happy...no sir!

So...I guess I'll just catch up with what happened in the past month!

We purchased a blow up pool for the grandkids. I blew it up and put water in it one afternoon for Celeste and Eddie. They played for just a few minutes since the water was so cold.

Celeste and her friends preferred to jump on the trampoline with the sprinkler instead of the pool.

That one afternoon is all the use our pool received! The weather has turned so the pool has been packed away till next year. Maybe we'll have a summer in 2011...maybe...just maybe...

One weekend when we were up at the lake, we took the cover off the boat to pull it down to the dock and found a little frog, who adopted our boat as his home. Cavan caught it and showed it to KaeLynn, who was fascinated with it! In fact, she cried when we let it go in the trees.

One weekend, we took my sister, Lorna and bro-in-law Tony up to Lake Merwin with us, along with my nephew, Rodney and his cute wife, Lauren. They were pleasantly surprised by our resident 4 legged critters who decided to join us for a meal...literally!

While our 4 legged creature was cleaning up any breakfast that happened to be available, Javen decided to get in on the act, and began "head butting" the buck. While the bucks head was down, Javen rammed his head into the bucks head. The buck stopped and looked at him in disbelief...

...and since Javen was in the "head butting" mood...

What is camping with Nana without some Nana snuggles? KaeLynn LOVES to snuggle!

And...what's camping without dutch oven cobbler?

Playing with Lorna and Tony, and Rodney and Lauren. It was a great weekend! It just doesn't happen often enough!

Back home again...one evening, Nana got to tend Javen and KaeLynn. Both little ones love water, and new toys, so...

And....they were both clean when I put their jammies on them that evening!

Celeste Marie turned 7 years old a couple weeks ago. When did our little girl grow up? I certainly didn't give her permission! We weren't going to be able to attend her birthday party so Papa and Nana took her out to breakfast on her birthday. We had a good time, and Celeste got to eat smiley faced pancakes! We love you Celeste!

One day, Papa was working on our van, and Javen decided that Papa needed some help.
He grabbed some tools and jumped right in.

Well, summer is gone, but there are a few more things for me to post, so I'll end this and move on with some other adventures.
Grandkids are the best, and bring us so much joy!...can you tell?

I love Javen head butting. That is just funny. I picture Casey in my head encouraging it. You seem to have had a lot of fun adventures this summer. loves Jojo
